We are a 100% all volunteer, foster based rescue that was founded in 2015 with the goal of rescuing maybe a dozen animals from the local pounds each year. We have grown from our initial 3 volunteers to over 230 dedicated volunteers that rescued 523 cats and 488 dogs (1,011 total) in 2019 and have rescued 683 cats, 593 dogs, 4 rabbits, and 11 guinea pigs (1,291) in 2020. We actively work with many rescues in the ND, SD, and the MN areas to place animals that we can’t find homes for in our local area. The majority of our funding goes towards medication and vet bills. We do not have any paid staff.

Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.
Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2021 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
