Cusco Gemstone & Sterling Necklace
Cusco, a city in southeastern Peru, has been long held by the Andean indigenous people as the “navel of the world.” The meeting point of The Four Quarters of the Inca empire, this city is now revered as an archeological hotspot as much as a living ancient place. This vivid, handmade pendant represents this important geographical locale as well as the circle of life, another traditional Peruvian Inca symbol. The splendor of Pachamama, or Mother Earth, is on full display, with the rich hues provided by natural pieces of serpentine, sodalite, spondilus, mother of pearl, & turquoise laid and welded by hand in sterling.
