Scott County Humane Society in Georgetown, 541 | Clear The Shelters 2022
Scott County Humane Society is united in our mission to ensure humane care and conditions for companion animals through spay/neuter, humane awareness education, and responsible pet adoption and ownership. Since 1981, our volunteer-run organization has provided lifesaving programs to cats and dogs, and outreach services to those in Scott County. We work to save and better lives through successful cat and dog foster and adoption programs, a pet food bank, spay and neuter programs, and our Adoption Center in Georgetown. We are always in need of dry and canned cat food and scoopable litter.

Help your local shelter & pets in need.
Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.
Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2022 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
