Sunshine’s Friends is a 501(c)(3) non profit cat and dog rescue in Maryland. Our Mission (“the 5 R’s”):
• to RESCUE abandoned community cats and dogs in desperate situations;
• REHABILITATE sick, injured, and abused animals;
• REHOME cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies with placement guardians;
• to provide a loving REFUGE for cats and dogs that are not adopted; and
• REDUCE local shelter cat and dog intake and euthanasia by promoting spaying and neutering.

Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.
Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2022 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
